Hello, I’ve picked up what I believe to be a Winchester Model 94 purchased by the US Army during WWI, but I understand there are a lot of fakes “spruce guns”. I was wondering if there was any definitive way to determine whether the rifle is authentic, or a fake. The serial number is 838XXX, and seems to be in the right range. Any help with making this determination would be appreciated.

OnlineAndres,
Send me clear pictures of the top and bottom of the receiver frame, to include the serial number and the ordnance marking on the top of the frame ring.
