Searching for an 88|Winchester Rifles|Forum|Winchester Collector

Many years ago I had a very nice model 88 in 308 that I restocked with a gorgeous blank from Fajen. A couple years later a buddy simply had to have the gun so I sold it to him but I still have the original stock but no action to put in it. I have been searching the shops and shows for a well used and slightly abused action meaning a very worn or broken stock but there is an issue. For a few years Winchester used a recoil block some call a Cloverleaf tang which my stock does have the cutout for. Later they went to the standard round back recoil block. I have seen a number of good donor actions but none with the tang.

If any here know of a decent 88 that is in need of TLC with a cracked or broken stock and it has the clover tang I would be very interested. Even an action that needs to be reblued will be fine if the price is right.
