His collection was to say the least, impressive. John and I both loved Montana history. This was one of the things we talked about most often. I have several guns with Montana history, but John was able to ferret out stuff that had only been mentioned in history books. He had the time, money and energy to search for these rare and historic guns. We bought and traded with one another on a regular basis. Never met anyone who knew more about guns (Colt Dragoons to Model 70’s) than John. His brain was a sponge for knowledge. He was my friend for 50+ years and I miss him terribly.
