Ive got a buddy who’s family owns a ranch down in S. Texas who was looking for a gun he could use that was lightweight, compact, and had a pretty good punch to it, and could be used without a scope.  From time to time they get hunters out there that dont always shoot where they think they are aiming and he has to track and dispatch a wounded deer.  I had a 1930’s vintage 32WS carbine that I gave him to use a year or two ago.  It wasnt in the best condition on the outside but judging on how he uses guns, that didnt matter much.  The last time I saw it the thing was covered in mud and laying on his floorboard.  Anyway, he told me he has killed 10 or 12 deer with it and that the nice thing about it is that it packs a heck of a punch and can shoot through brush like its not even there.  Whats not to like about it.
