OfflineI had previously posted this Winchester 1885 when I first got it a couple of months ago. The more I looked at the more I wondered if the scope mounts might be original to the gun so I sent off for the letter which confirmed they were there from day one. Bert H said he had a B5 scope and a deal was struck. Here is the result the gun and the proper scope once again sitting on top. The condition of the scope is a perfect match to the rifle.
