Dear all,
I am about to fill a permit and I am a bit undecided to what for throw the money out.
All the options are in the same price range, so it is a question about how cool and rare are the guns.
Also, .30-30 and .44-40 Ammo is more available in here in Switzerland than .32 win spec. but since I wont‘ shoot tons, it not such a deal
the Options:
Winchester in .44-40 made in 1907 with odd „indian design“
Wrangler in .32 Win spec (really nice, no box, 1981
Wrangler in .30-30 well cheaper 1993, pictures are a bit blurred
Cheyenne in .44-40 with foldable sight
Thank you for your hints!
Personally I prefer the 16″ Wrangler in .32 spl.. The 1907 vintage 1892 with the Indian decorations look like they’ve been added, plus the stocks have been heavily sanded .

Hello,
Could you please post images of the barrel address stamp and the caliber stamp that are on the barrel of this rifle?

I’d wait for an clean, honest example of any era pre64 M1894 or M94 to surface
Makes sense to me, no idea what the situation is in Switzerland but “none of the above” is the correct answer for someone looking for a collectable Winchester on this side of the pond.

I haven‘t yet seen a pre 64 for sale here. Usually the commemoratives are sold…

I guess we’re fortunate over here. If we’re patient and diligent the right gun will come along if we pass on the rifles that aren’t quite right. Happy hunting!
