RIA has some beautiful and rare firearms coming up for auction in Dec and as I was looking at the pics, I noticed an 1886 marked 45-82.  I knew Winchester made special loadings based on the 45-90 case but I didn’t realize that they would mark the rifle to match those rare loadings.

That caliber marking and rarity brought a pretty good price.
