Yes, & the ignorant fat-cat too fearful to pay 5 Gs on GB would be willing to pay 10 Gs to one of the __ I mentioned because it then has their “seal of approval.”

We snoozed. We lost. I filled the “cool and unusual 1885” slot in my collection a little while back (thanks again, Bert!) and quite frankly came to this party late and short on funds. I like my rifle better but with proper marketing I suspect there’s money to be made on this gun. Biggest problem will be finding the target audience.

Seller emailed me today. He hasn’t received the check yet so he is keeping me in mind, just in case. I’m not really a collector of low walls but this gun is nice and rare.

Based on what I have found thus far, the low-wall Special Sporting Rifle in question is a “one-of-a-kind”.

If I’d had the dough to buy it, I’d have WIRED him the money just in case someone tried to offer him more before he shipped it! In fact, if it was not more than a day’s drive away, I’d have driven to pick it up.
I can’t help it that you guys take those long naps in the afternoon.
