Can anyone tell me if a post 64 m70 mannlicher should have iron sights
I have seen both configurations, smooth barrel and williams sights.
Also, does the bolt handle being checkered or smooth make a difference.
My Gun Digest from 1970 thru 1972 shows a smooth barrel with knurled bolt knob.

Why is there little or no information on Model 70 Mannlichers? They have to be one of the rarest modern winchesters. I have one that I purchased new in 243 and it is my understanding that only 367 were made in that caliber. These fine rifles are listed nowhere.

Generally speaking, the Pre-1964 production Model 70 rifles are sought after by collectors, and the Post-1963 production (Push Feed) Model 70 variations are not. Accordingly, and as of this time. very little has been researched and written about the Post-1963 variations.
