I have picked up a Win 94 XTR BORN in 1979.  Receiver , trigger, and barrel band are all brushed stainless steel. 

all my research on net I found a few thousand like this that were made in 1999 but nothing before. I called Winchester and all they could tell me that it was made in 1979.

I truely believe from factory because of look. Rifle looks new. Screws look factory. Tried to attached photos but cant figure out how. 

has anyone heard of such a thing before.??

any help would be much appreicated.
