Well, I hope I gave excellent advice. It seemed to be ignored. That doesn’t bother me, however.
As you gain experience, you will increasingly look as this rifle as one, like TedK states, complicates your life, and a wise purchase will increase over time whereas this one will eventually be liquidated at a substantial loss.

You like it, that’s all that matters. Personally I like my 32 Spls a little on the mild side. I also applaud your respect for the history of the gun. It will probably never make a serious collector’s heart go pitterpat but you know that. Enjoy. Sometimes I buy a gun because I think I can re-sell it someday. Sometimes I buy one because I like it and want to keep it around awhile. Congrats and enjoy!
