You guys are going to have to give me a little support here it look about a half hour to figure out how to join and post .

I have a Win. model 94 made around late 30s . On the bottom of the receiver just in front of the trigger there is stamped

the number 36 in about 1/8th size . I have no clue , I’m all ears .

Thanks , Tom

Hello Tom,

What is the serial number on your Model 94?  With it, I can pin down the exact month & year of manufacture.

The 2-digit stamped number is simply an inspector’s stamp (after the gun was checked for proper fit & function).

I had your Model 94 Carbine previously documented in my research survey.  It is a 25-35 WCF “transitional” Carbine that was manufactured in June 1932.  It has a Proof Steel barrel with a ramp style front sight.

Thank you ,

This rifle is fairly new to me . I bought it off Cabela’s on a sale price , still pretty high .

I hava a Savage 1899 SRC in 25-35 that I load for ,pack around and shoot and thought a change of pace would be nice .

This one seems to be a factory rebarrel with flat band and the stocks are a little to nice .

All that fit in with my needs , I don’t like the idea of wrecking collector grade or having nic-naks sitting around .

Thanks , Tom

Tom,

Can you send pictures of the gun to me via email?

Well , I thought I replied twice but I’m still learning .

We have mixed rain and snow today , no pictures today with our typical SouthEast , Alaska weather .

That was good news this carbine left the factory as a 25-35 cal .

Thanks , Tom
