Patrick, not sure what you are looking for here. Not enough good pictures or description to determine the value. If you were a member of WACA, with all the benefits they offer, you could just download the pictures to the site. Peter

Your gun was made in 1906.  It may have had some wood refinish/replacement.  I have to leave pricing to others.

I gave 1800$ impulse purchase. upon further inspection at home wood color seems to be off and the fit of the butt stock to the reciever looks really bad in the picture but not so much in my hands. I was hoping for some input on that as well. Right now these are the only pictures I have.

Hello Patrick,

There is almost no original bluing left on the gun yet the wood looks almost new.  Most likely because it is.  The fit at the butt plate is nice but as you mention the fit to the receiver is far from correct.  It should be as shown in the attached photos.  As a result of the low % condition of the metal and the replaced wood (most likely) $1800 would be on the high end for certain.  I would think closer to $1200 at best.   And for condition hound collector that would be high.

Well, I screwed the pooch. I new the wood looked too good, the gap didn’t catch my eye untill I got it home. And it’s been growing ever since.

Patrick don’t feel bad.  You have a nice shooter and if it really bothers you trade up in the future.  Join WACA and the Cody Firearms Museum and keep learning.

It’s not all bad, Patrick. Sometimes a gun just reaches out and grabs you. Been there, done that.

Maybe this will help you, Patrick.  Your stock is a little nicer than this one of mine.2-Copy.JPG
