I wanted a 1907 WSL woods gun and this one was Drilled and Tapped so I took it, it’s a late mfg 50k sn and set up in the police config so I don’t have to worry about cracking the wood I hope. My question is, whats with this barrel, with a stamped “Made in the USA” is this one original or is this a replacement? The barrel proof looks a bit hokey too. When did they remove the tang markings. THX

Well that’s good to know, thx. Merry Christmas.
I just found one online that’s about 2,000 sn lower and the barrel markings are exactly the same. Still has a tang marking, but a few 1000s higher then mine, the tang marking is gone also.
Bert’s right, Madi’s book was way off on this one.
