This Model 94 serial # 369*** has been in my family a long time. It’s a takedown short rifle in 30-30 with saddle ring and crescent buttplate . I’m trying to find a magazine tube ring for it. If anybody can help locate one it would be greatly appreciated.

Is Buckingham’s still in business? If so, he’d have it, if anyone would. Think I heard he went the way of all flesh, but maybe someone took over his operation.

What is the thing that appears to be protruding from under the magazine toward the end? At first I thought it was a shadow but it doesn’t carry all the way back and it looks metal.

I’ve never paid any attention to take downs and just ASSumed all the contraptions were up around the front of the receiver. Aesthetically, I don’t like it. But then I’m kind of a nit picker. 
I’m always learning something on this site.
