Awesome is the way I’d put it! And remember that the scope cost as much as the rifle…possibly more! But all scopes of this era have a very narrow exit pupil, meaning that your eye must be perfectly aligned with the optical axis, otherwise the field “blacks out.” It would need to be aimed in a very deliberate manner.

Use the tang sight for shooting and the scope for seeing shot placement. ?
