Model 94 cross bolt safety began in what year?|Winchester Rifles|Forum|Winchester Collector

I’m looking at a rifle that a guy has for sale, it doesn’t have the cross bolt safety I’ve seen on some of the newest model 94’s.

Was wondering if someone new when that began?

It appears to be a 20″, can’t tell whether it’s a ranger or not, the pics are pretty bad so I can’t make out the grain.

I asked him to send me more pictures, he’s trying but is not very good at it.
