I have a model 70 lightweight chambered in .280 Rem. I\’ve tried to do some digging on this gun but the vast majority of what comes up are Featherweights and XTRs… I\’m really just wanting to get a value on the gun. Could anyone point me to a good source or give me some good information?rn rnThanks!

Hello Mike,

Our focus here at the Winchester Arms Collectors Association (WACA) is the Pre-1964 production Winchesters. Your Model 70 was actually manufactured by the U.S. Repeating Arms Company.

In response to your question about the value, simply google “Model 70 280 Remington lightweight” and it will bring up several that are currently for sale.

Thanks for the info and, believe me, I’ve done that search numerous times. The sites either don’t display the value or it’s a Featherweight.
