I have inherited two Winchester Model 64  270 rifles.  Serial numbers  15109 & 15867.   Shot them both this past weekend and they were incredibly accurate.

I have no need for them and would like to find a “good home” for them.  Someone who could appreciate them.  Thanks.  Tom

Thomas,

Your topic post title reads “Model 62 270 rifles”. The Winchester Model 62 was a slide-action (pump) .22 rim fire repeating rifle. Your post then states “Winchester Model 64 270 rifles”. The Winchester Model 64 was a lever-action variation of the Model 1894, and was offered in 30 WCF, 32 WS, 25-35 WCF, and 219 Zipper… but never in the 270 Winchester cartridge. Accordingly, I highly recommend that you rewrite your post, and provide an accurate description of what you have. Based on the serial numbers you mention, you might have a pair of Model 54 rifles, or Model 70 rifles…

Hello Tom,

Interested in your rifle/rifles.  Please send me a PM as I can’t seem to send you one being a guest for some reason.

Just a gut feeling here of scam in the making. Riding in on wagon load of punkins with inaccurate info. Beautiful rifles upon inquiry? Funds sent… End of story! Hope not, but red flags fluttering.
Just a wary…
My take.
