I have a Model 61 serial#21811 produced in 1937,it has the octagonal barrel, steel butt plate, has two threaded holes in top of rifle with small screws in them. The marking only say .22 long rifle on left side of barrel. I have many pictures i can post.

Hello,

Please do post the photos of your rifle or send them to me at [email protected]    I would like to add the gun into my research survey of the Model 61’s.  The octagon barrel rifles are a favorite of collectors and while they are certainly not rare they do command a pretty good premium if in very nice condition.

Thanks

Michael
