I looked at a model 55 serial #3669 today at cabelas in sidney. Question is the receiver was kind of a pink color, bluing on the rest of the rifle looked real good is this normal and if so why?

Maybe an older reblue job. The older Winchester receivers were very sensitive to bluing solution temperature and some odd colours could result. An original should be dark blue but flaking off if used at all.
