Howdy, I’m Doug and first posted here yesterday on the research forum about my model 54 30GOV06 sights. I stated that the gun was made in 1929 but after spending way too much time on the net today I’m not sure. The # is 25226A. Any help with when the gun was made would be much appreciated. Thanks again to Bert and Louis for there help yesterday.

Doug,

Have you checked the 2-digit year number stamped on the bottom of the barrel right next to the receiver frame? Serial number 25226A is most likely a “29” built rifle. You will need to pull the stock off to find the date on the barrel.
