I recently came into possession of a Model 54. The rifle has a low serial number 13965. It looks to be in fair condition. It has a Weaver 4K-C3 scope on it. Any idea the value of this rifle?

You did not mention which cartridge it is chambered for, or which specific variant of the Model 54 you have. Can you post (or provide) clear pictures of your Model 54?

With a scope mounted your M54 very likely has an extra hole(s) in the bridge and an altered bolt. Collector value is greatly reduced.
If you can’t convince them, confuse them
The chambering can make quite the difference. We’ve had two guys show up here recently with M54’s in .35 Whelen. A M54 in .35 Whelen is quite the find. The .35 Whelen was special order. A M54 in 7.65 x 53 or 9×57 Mauser would also bring much interest (even with a scope mount hole). While the 7.65 and 9mm were standard chamberings, they are rarely found.
