Hello, 

I have a beautiful Model 53 Winchester that shows no evidence of having been messed with. It is stamped with 32 WCF with all the Winchester markings on the barrel and receiver.

It is however, rebored and shoots 38 special and 357 magnum. There is no marking on it that indicates the conversion. I looked under the forearm and saw no markings of the conversion on the barrel.

Does anyone know anything about this piece?

Earl,

What is the serial number on your Model 53 rifle ?  The rebore & rechamber work was not accomplished by Winchester.
