 Hello,

Never used this sight but just wanted to ask about a gun.  It is an 1894 30-30 made in 1895 (according to serial number records) with all matching parts.  Its been babied its whole life and has been cased the entire time.  As far as I know, It was once used for hunting, but has not been for at least 75 years.  It has been in the family and I still use it every now and then just to make sure it still fires.  It is absolutely beautiful condition.  The wood is pristine, the metal is unmarked.  I keep it oiled and cleaned, with only a slight discoloring from the aged metal and a couple scuffs which have been on the wood as long as I have owned it.  As far as I am concerned, this just adds character!  Any idea on worth or anything else?  Thanks!

Specs: Long barrel (not the carbine)

8-round magazine (the longer one)

Checkered like engraving on wood (original option I believe)

You will need to post several clear detailed pictures of your Model 1894.

Did you use the serial number look-up found on the home page of our website? If not, the odds are very good that you do not have the correct DOM.
