Hi!
I bought a half dozen rifles from a local guy as a “package deal”. In the lot was a 3rd model 1873, and an 1892.
The 73 had screws in the tang from a previous tang sight. I’ve since replaced with the appropriate plug screws.
My question is about the rear sight that has been installed.
Is this a period correct sight?
The 92 is missing the rear sight. The finished level is close to that of the sight mounted on the 73.
Im scratching my head trying to figure out what is correct, and what belongs where…
Anything else look incorrect about the 73?

The sight looks correct but the elevator is a later Winchester 1901 thumb print style and you have a 1890 gun.
