Mod 94 treaded barrell question

I have a model 94 ser#383173.  The end of the barrel is treaded … to accept a suppressor or a muzzle brake ????  It was done very professionally … everything is where it should be and the quality of the machining is excellent …. is this a ‘customized’ gun or did Win make it that way … or was it done for use in Europe [one person suggested it was done so it could be used in Europe – however that pers qualifications to make that statement was zero]

It is possible that it was factory threaded for a Maxim Silencer, but I will need to see pictures of it before making that assertion. You did not mention which caliber that it is.
