OfflineHi,
I have an 1894 SRC in .25-35 made in 1914. The metal is pretty good but the wood is very bad. The stock has been cut and the forearm is in sad shape. I’m putting on new wood and would like to know how “proud” should the wood be along the upper and lower tang and receiver? I’ve slowly got the stock and forearm about .020 higher than the metal. What is correct? Thanks for your help.
