Steve,
Thanks a lot for the good words and advice! No, I don’t think it was abused either, knowing the some of the history. When it was purchased it was simply a tool to provide for my great grandfathers family and so on clear down to me! It’s still shootable and doesn’t need to be a provider, except for fun of course! Now to get the correct sights! I will treasure it even more now.

This sight is newer than your gun, you need an older version. T/R

Yup, need an older version. And with less finish.
David,
On EBAY, idem number 374566281650 is a rear sight the type you want, only with less condition. The one pictured is called a 22b, I can’t tell if it has the serrated sides but either way it would work. If you watch EBAY I’m sure you will find one. The cheap repros will look different and you don’t want that. T/R

Sight looks OK to me but the elevator may not be correct for a 1900 manufactured rifle? I forget but don’t these have a 1901 or 1903 patent on them?
February 1901 patent date on the left-side of the elevator piece.

Sorry, need a little advice again, would a Sheard # 57L front sight be a correct sight for my ’94? https://www.ebay.com/itm/374258247193
or this one? https://www.ebay.com/itm/295608349939?hash=item44d3a174f3:g:FsgAAOSwXYhkLH~V
Thanks!
