Hello all
new to this forum. I have a few M54’Sniper. One of particular interest is a’ Sniper Match’. It’s confugyred in what looks like a h.b. M52b, on steroids. I ran across a 2010 Winchester Collectors magazine that has a photo of what appears to be a very similar looking M54’Sniper. They note, at the time, it’s one of two known to exist. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated in advance, thanks!

Very nice rifle!
Let me be the first to say that I do not know much at all about Model 54 rifles, however, the heavy barrel on your rifle looks very similar, front sight included, to the one on my Winchester Sniper Rifle Type 2. It’s a Winchester custom ordered hybrid that has the 1903 Springfield action. I have references that there are probably five of them that are known to exist. They first appeared in 1922, with the last one being produced in 1926. Mine has the checkered stock similar to the one you pictured, plus the cheek piece.
Hopefully, someone will come along that will be able to answer any questions that you would like to have answered.

You’re welcome, watch6. I figured the combo would be a match. You have a very special rifle there, indeed. Should you ever remove the stock from the barrel, I’d truly appreciate knowing the numbers applied to the bottom of the barrel.
