I have collected Pre War Sporters for some time and have a question concerning LOP. Winchesters, Sedgleys, Springfields many of which have a lop of around 12″ to 12.5″ and I am curious why this is as most are in the 14″ range. Many of the rifles I have collected do not look like they were modified but are definitely shorter. Can anyone shed light on this?
