I’ve just completed nearly two years of research on these Winchester International Match high wall rifles, and will be presenting my findings along with a single gun display table at the show in Cody next week.  If you’re at the Cody show please stop by.  My research involved reading through about 1000 pages of “Arms and the Man”, and “Outdoor Life” publications from 1913-1915 as well as many other references that I have cited.  The research documents and answers with a high degree of certainty many of the questions raised in this thread and other discussions.  I hope to  publish an upcoming article in the Winchester Collector magazine that will bring some clarity to the topic of these 25 specially manufactured rifles.

If you won’t be in Cody, and can’t wait for a future possible magazine article, you can download a full copy of my research in either pdf or hard cover book form at: https://www.blurb.com/b/12426074

hope to see many of you in Cody.
