information on my winchester model 94 |Winchester Rifles|Forum|Winchester Collector

looking to finally put to rest the date of manufacture on my Winchester model 94 30-30 .
the serial number is 2844806.

this is from the bottom of the gun top of the lever area.

I hope someone can tell me.
Winchester site had no info.
I was told the story that grandpa bought it for grandma for protection in the 30,s., but that date can’t be right.
