… it looks like you’ve got to pay to play Surprised

I figure they added about a $10,000 premium to their estimate on account of it being a .32 Cool

Steve-

They heard you were interested. I told Kevin you had deep pockets and a soft spot for anything in 32 Spl. Enjoy! Wink

Yeah, I suppose that would explain their enthusiastic auction estimate.

Maybe it will scare other bidders off…

Mike,

I think you’re correct, unless they dangle a .33 WCF, in front of him! LaughLaughLaugh

Unless Rex the cocaine-sniffing DEA dog alerts to the magazine tube,  this lot is a tiny bit overpriced.

All kidding aside I agree with Tedk, gun does indeed have a lot of condition and that seems to be doing well these days. Must admit I was expecting fancy wood and checkering at this price point.

I prefer the walnut on my 32 SRC. And it was a lot cheaper than that RIA one! 20230310_174302.jpg

Thanks Steve, it’s one of my favourites. Loaded some rounds for it and yet to shoot it.

Here is the other side

Looks great!

Maybe they had an inclination to put nicer wood on the .32 Specials….

No complaints on our last Auction, Chris. A 62 police appears unfired with blue turned an even nice patina mint bore and grips %100 nickel perfect nipples and safety’s  all up delved AUD $631.

I hate to burst your bubble, but that revolver has been reblued—hence, no extraordinary bargain.  The frame and loading lever should be case coloured.  Note the appearance of this original example:

mercvs, there is traces of blue around the loading lever, and the lever shows nice case colours in bright light, as well as the frame
