My friend was the auctioneer for the 1984 McQueen auction. He gave me the inventory list he did of the items sold. There were, as I recall, about 30 guns. All low end used guns, all different types. Nothing special. My guess is they were given to him at some point by friends.

I would like to see that 2006 catalog referenced in the auction. My friend auctioned McQueen’s estate in 1984. Every item came with a formally produced Certificate of Authenticity completely describing the item.

Steve McQueen Auction Guns

Those are guns sold in 2006. 22 years after the auction I am familiar with. It would be interesting to see the documented provenance of these items over the 26 years after McQueens death.

If you read the descriptions of the guns sold in the 2006 auction, you will see they are mostly just common used guns showing wear. Not quality collectibles.
