I see the Lone Ranger's '94 carbine didn't sell for as much as hoped

Auction estimate of $10,000 to $20,000 and sold for $7,000:

https://www.rockislandauction.com/detail/85/3175

Surprised me it went low as it is a .32 Special!

Of course the Lone Ranger used a .32 Special Cool

Maybe some people are starting to see thru these pre auction estimates and then actually figuring “the juice” when bidding

Or maybe most of those who still vividly remember “Hi-yo Silver, away!” are gone, or going.

Of the 71 Winchester levers sold by RIA this week end only nine were less than estimate. Of those nine, only one was less than estimate if you add the bidder fee, that was the Lone Ranger 94. They know what they can get and lately been getting it.

That Lone Ranger, John Hart was only the Lone Ranger for a short time in the mid 50’s. Several of these old western stars made the gun show circuit late in their years selling autographed photos and so called guns out of their collection. Tulsa had a few. Who knows how many guns he sold and what he means by his collection. T/R

 A case where provenance matters, Steve McQueen’s 1970 Blazer. Value $350,000-375,000! T/R
