O.K. I take back the “over 10,000,000 mod. 94s B.S.” and stand admonished and humbled, but You get the drift on what I,m talking about as far as rarity , or the lack thereof. I have to disagree though that only “pre ’64s” are ” collectable” today, My opinion only.
Henry,
I did not state “that only “pre ’64s” are ” collectable” today”. Instead, I simply stated the following, and then followed it up by listing the total number of the commemorative editions, which as we all know are collectable.
There were just 2,600,011 pre-1964 production “collectable” era Model 1894/94s made.

I dunno, Bert. Seems to me a vast majority of Winchester collectors are only interested in “pre-64” items so I’m trying to focus on them with an emphasis on pre-war. I’m not being snobby, I just don’t understand the “post-64” market and likely won’t figure it out in time to invest wisely. I don’t know if I’ll live that long but I have little doubt the “post-64” market will mature to be more collectable and even profitable for the astute collector. OTOH most folks under 50 don’t seem to be interested in the older Winchesters so the future of collectable Winchesters is anything but certain.
Sorry about that, had a looong sloooow weekend at the TGCA show and lots of time to think.
