A couple of questions that will help me evaluate this rifle.
Were Henry levers and hammers color case hardened? I examined several high grade Henrys, clear color pictures, including the Lincoln presentation rifle and several near new Henrys in the $100K range, all of the levers and hammers were a gray color, no actual color case hardening. This rifle has a lot of case colors on the hammer and lever.
S&S firearms makes a Henry repro sling with a cartouche marked Henry Repeating Rifle with patent dates in a rectangle. Were any original Henry slings so marked?
Thanks.
