This rifle has gone by on GB before without much interest. I’m not a collector of Model 1894 but do realize this rifle likely has a poorly fitted replacement carbine barrel. But the low serial number and first model frame is unique. Anyone have opinions as to it’s worth and how much value the frame adds to the total rifle value? Last auction it topped out at $770 and didn’t meet the reserve.

I think the frame is pretty much all the value in the gun.  If this was a later gun in this condition,  I think it would be $500 to $800.

It seems like most any first model in low condition will sell for around $2000.   To someone who wants to try and rebuild it, I’d think someone would pay $1000 to $1200.  I’d bet that the seller’s reserve is much higher, too.
