 As part of its upcoming auction, Poulin appears to be advertising a Henry rifle with a factory applied nickel finish. Did Henry nickel any of its guns? If so, were any other American gun manufactures nickel plating any of their guns during the Civil War years? Thanks

Yes, some Henry’s were nickel plated.  You can see examples in Les Quick’s book.  I know that Colt was nickel plating revolvers in the 1860’s.  Henry’s could also be plated in silver or gold.
