nascar fan, your ’73 looks like it has a barrel longer than the standard 24″.  I have a round barrel second model, found on the prairie in the north central part of the state, that has a 26″ barrel. Rifle looks like it may have been run over by a wagon wheel.  

The experts on here said it was a long barrel rifle. I had part of a forearm when I got it. Not sure of caliber but guessing it was 25-20, maybe 32. Looks small and no readable marks on the lifter. Story I got when I picked it up for $5 at a flea market was it was found standing in an old barn being torn down.
