Cabela’s just listed this 1894 takedown this afternoon.  Guy that answered the phone at Cabela’s said I was the 20th caller and it was already sold.  Every once in a while, you can find a steal of a deal at Cabelas.  Somebody got a hell of a deal on this one…

Yes, they did. $1,500 for that high condition Take Down was a steal.

Seems someone got one heck of a deal. I would love to stumble into a Winchester of that age and that condition.

Only own one 1894, but it's a good one.

There’s some sweet Winchester deals out there judging from recent posts here.

Last year, I bought a M56 in 22 short from a Cabelas. #1903, first year I presume. Has a “26” bbl. date. In at least 95%+ condition and 100% correct. Price was $900+ tax and shipping. Someone had just called before me and turned the rifle down. Book value on this very scarce rifle is $2,500. When I opened the box I figured I would get a knock on the door from the Gun Police, but they never came. Sometime, Cabelas do not know what they are doing. I once saw a super rare 6″ S&W pre M45 go for 1/2 what I paid for that rifle. Also, a MIB pre M14 with tools and the works for $300. I was late calling on both guns. Big Larry
