What you are seeing is not a “tab”… it is actually the bottom surface of the barrel you are seeing inside the retangular cut-out in the take down extension ring.
These pictures should clarify it for you;

Chuck I’m glad you asked lol…I needed Bert’s pics, the camera was playing tricks on me in that first pic!
Thanks Bert. The take downs I have I don’t take them down after initial cleaning.

To all, Bert is correct. It is not a “tab” but the bottom flat of the barrel. Not able to get a complete picture from only one side.
