Good morning Patrick,
With regard to the Model 1892 rifles Pirkle’s book is not very useful and based on my research often time inaccurate with regard to barrel address, upper tang, and caliber markings. I would strongly recommend Robert Renneberg’s book as a reference for the Mode l1894 and 94 rifles.
