I went to the Museum Of The Rockies here in Bozeman today and they had a room of old west photographs. I noted one in particular with a couple of Indian tribal police. They were armed with Remington revolvers and a Winchester 1873 SRC and a Whitney Kennedy SRC.

I have a couple of those carbines in the safe…

Interesting indeed. Was the photo dated? Seem to recall a discussion of your Whitney Kennedy carbine on the CB forum, can understand why it caught your eye. Didn’t recall it being a carbine but it’s been awhile.

Actually, the last Whitney Kennedy I got was this prototype that is one of a kind. It has Springfield rear sight, sling swivels, cleaning rod in the butt and double set triggers, not to mention the fantastic condition it is in…
