Being a new member, I am hoping to tap your wealth of knowledge. I am looking at a Mod 94 takedown ser no 612130 that looks mint but obviously redone. On lower tang under butt stock is marked "REFINISH"
Do you believe this would be a factory refinish and if so how does that effect the value?

It certainly could be a factory refinish, but there is no way to prove it. Without 100% proof, it will negatively affect the value.
