Kramer auctions sold a 73 yesterday that had many features. The gun had a few issues, not a lot of condition, missing lever latch, the pistol grip cap replaced and the name engraved on the left sideplate removed. It did have a J.ULRICH signature on it. I didn’t think it would bring $32k and if you add the juice for onsite bidder your at 37k. I figured it would of been a $20k gun.

Type: Rifle
Caliber: 32
Barrel Type: 1/2 Octagon
Trigger: Set
Checkered Stock, Pistol Grip
Sights: Lyman front & rear sights
Engraved $4.00 with Dr. E.X. Amoss on left plate
Matted barrel
Frame and mortise cover case-hardened
Nickel plated tip, carrier block, side plates, hammer finger lever, and butt plate
Received in warehouse on September 17, 1889
Shipped from warehouse on September 18, 1889, Order number 1063

You don’t see one like that everyday. What do you think it would have brought if the rifle was correct in the same condition?

Your right you don’t see that combination like that and its probably a one of a kind. Most of the faults can be easily fixed except the engraving on the side plate which is a major downgrade in my book. I figured it would be worth maybe 25-28k if it was right.
