How to clean a 1906 after going to the range

Plan on going to the range to see how the little 06 performs. What is the normal cleaning procedure? Do you have to strip down the gun? Thanks Ron

first consider using a .17 cal rod and clean for muzzle, using a taper mussle guard.
second, take the side-plate off left receiver face, break apart a wooden clothes pin to lift the action slide bar away from the receiver, then press the FP into fired position and lift the bolt backwards and off the receiver,
pushdown the lifter and use regular COATED / SS rod to clean from breach.

Might be nice to completely detail entire rifle.

Enjoy!

This Rifle is in very nice condition. I just never fired or cleaned it before. Thanks Ron
