I have searched and haven’t found a lot of data on reloads for the Winchester 1873(mfg1889) 32-20 using an Oregon Trails 115gr lead bullet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Laser Cast sent me load data several years ago. You might contact them to see if they are still providing reloading data for their products.

From Laser Cast data for 115 gr. RN FP, using a Winchester Model ’92 22"barrel–

Universal: 3.2–4.0 875–1040
700X: 2.8–3.9 950–1185
231: 3.5–4.0 1135–1188

Red Dot: 3.6–4.1 1040–1193
Green Dot: 4.0–4.5 1150–1225
HP-38: 3.9–4.4 1090–1245

Unique: 5.0–5.5 1283–1392
2400: 8.5–9.0 1289–1379
———————————————————-

We have used these two loads in our 1873 DOM 1886–

115 gr. .313 FP Oregon Trail Laser-cast
3.0 gr. Hodgdon Titegroup
Small Rifle Primer

115 gr. .313 FP Oregon Trail Laser-cast
8.3 gr. AA1680
Small Rifle Magnum Primer
——————————————————

There are folks on this site who can answer better than I can, so keep asking!

I would go with black powder only. FFFg should work well.

Unique: 5.0–5.5 1283–1392

(as stated above ) has been an excellent load for me in Uberti 73, Whitney Kennedy, and several Win 92’s and varients ,also even revolvers circa WW1

Must be crimped or tight neck tension for full uniform combustion
