Thanks, It’s 238973, 1904 date. It must have been rebarreled.
I agree. If you are curious, the year the barrel was manufactured is stamped on the bottom of the barrel just forward of where it screws into the receiver frame. The date would give you a “no earlier than” date for when it was installed.
